About Karolin

Welcome! I’m Karolin Gold — a satirical writer, speaker, marketer, and researcher of cultural codes.

My background is woven from paradoxes: a medical degree from Tel Aviv University, an MBA from the UK’s Warwick Business School, and 20 years of marketing leadership in Canada (including 10 years at Rolex). Having lived across countries, languages, and identities – and as an immigrant learning how to belong to a new culture without losing my own voice – I became fascinated by the stories people construct to reinvent themselves, adapt to unfamiliar worlds, and still preserve a sense of who they truly are. This journey taught me that survival is always easier with a sense of humor, and that both personal success and cultural influence are shaped less by logic than by the myths we inherit, and, most importantly, by the stories we dare to imagine about ourselves.

In my writings, I strip away academic boredom and corporate pretension to dissect the narratives that shape us, from the fairy tales and ancient myths we were told as children to today’s political and social norms. I explore how these stories continue to shape human roles, identity, and our hidden motivations.
